Chairman of the Board

Dr. Giuseppe Mazza, MD

Dr. Mazza, B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Concordia University (1982). Dr. Mazza graduated from McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine in 1986. He interned in family medicine at St-Mary’s Hospital (1986-1987). He practised in the emergency room of the Santa-Cabrini hospital from 1987 to 2000 and has held hospital privileges there since 1987. He has been Head of Continuing Medical Education since 1997. He has been actively practising family medicine in Montreal since 1989. Since 2000, he has been actively involved in phases 2 and 3 clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies as a lead investigator. As such, he has been involved in more than 110 clinical trials involving various medical conditions (Respiratory problems/ Diabetes/ Psoriasis/ Depression/ Cardiovascular problems/ Alzheimer’s/ Rheumatology, etc.).

Hussein Fadlallah, MD, CCFP

Chief Cardiologist

Dr. Fadlallah graduated from the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Medicine in 1996. He completed his specialty in cardiology in 2002 and 2003, and received a fellowship in interventional cardiology from the Montreal Heart Institute. He has been Chief of Cardiology at Santa Cabrini Hospital since 2005. As a senior investigator and sub-investigator, he has been involved in numerous clinical studies over the past ten years.

Michael Palumbo, MD, PhD

Chief Oncologist

Dr. Palumbo graduated from McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine in 2008. He completed a Fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology at McGill University in 2014. He practises in the departments of Hematology-Oncology of the Jewish General Hospital and Santa Cabrini Hospital. With a PhD in experimental medicine in 2008, he has extensive research experience and has led various oncology clinical trials.

Heather McLaughlin is an Assistant Professor and Art Therapy Program Coordinator in the Department of Creative Arts Therapies at Concordia University. She is the founder and director of the Concordia Arts in Health Centre, an innovative university-based initiative that integrates clinical services, community partnerships, and research to advance access to creative arts therapies and arts-in-health practices. Her work focuses on creative, systemic, and relational approaches to health and well-being, interdisciplinary collaboration, and climate action. She has been a practicing clinical art therapist, couple and family therapist, and psychotherapist for over 20 years.
